Conference Call Services & More (Resources!)

Postby christina » Fri Sep 22, 2006 8:27 pm

I spent some time researching different conference call providers online and thought I'd share what I found. Perhaps you'll find something that will work for you and your business.

FREE CONFERENCE CALL PROVIDERS

www.FreeConferenceCall.com - You can even record your free conference calls
http://www.goconference.com/freecalling/ - Free voice or web conferencing
http://www.presenternet.com/ - Free conference calls and also a free trial on web conferencing
www.TalkShoe.com - Free "talkcasts" as they call them - Interesing potential here
http://www.highspeedconferencing.com - Free calls that are endorsed by Skype

FREE VOICEMAIL PROVIDERS

www.SimpleVoiceBox.com - Your greeting to your callers can be LONG! That is great for new product announcements, "sizzle calls" where you give your callers some piece of irresistable news or information (great for business opportunity), training, etc. LOTS of uses this. You can even choose whether or not your callers can leave a message for you at the end. How cool is that?! (Obviously I liked this service. ) - I signed up for this because the unlimited message length was exactly what I was looking for.

There is another service called Simple Voice Center, but it didn't work when I tried it. I tried calling the number that was given to me a couple of times and it didn't work. I figure that I don't want to rely on that kind of service. Hopefully it was a glitch. Although, who can complain when it's free?

FREE WEB CONFERENCING

http://www.vyew.com/content/
http://www.docolive.com - This only works with Internet Explorer (What a pity.)

OTHER

Another service I found and signed up with is Audio Acrobat. It also comes with a free trial period (30 days) and allows you to record messages, customer/client testimonials (they call a # and leave their testimonial on a recorder-voicemail), conferences and more. In fact, you can create playlists and broadcast your own online radio show. You can create videocasts and podcasts. LOTS of features with this provider. I was very impressed. http://designsdivision.audioacrobat.com <-- It even comes with a free affiliate program. In fact, some of their players are already embedded with your affiliate link. Refer just a few paying customers and you can obtain your basic service for free!

That reminds me, they even provide you the HTML code to add any of your recordings to your site. You can then view how many times it has been played, the percentage of plays that were played through completion and more. Very cool.

One last service I found, but did not try out, is COA Telecenter. It comes with a TON of features like unlimited incoming 800#, virtual fax service, voicemail, call forwarding, ad tracker, email/text/SMS notifications, phone to web audio and more. Their service starts at $34.95/month. Not bad for all that you get... if you put it to good use. They also have a pretty cool referral program. If you refer 5 customers, you can get your basic service for free... for as long as you have 5 active customers that you referred. http://www.gettelecenter.com/includedfeatures.aspx But hey, if there are 10 or so members who want to give this a try let me know. I'll sign up and then refer you so I can get the cool free service. :P ;)

Simple Voice Box and Audio Acrobat are going to work very well for me right now. I'm already using Audio Acrobat and am quite impressed with their service and training. In fact just a few minutes ago their trainer called me because I had submitted a support ticket that I couldn't get something to work. Of course as he walked me through it on the phone it worked just fine! Gotta love technology!!

If you want to see one sample of how I've used Audio Acrobat, go to www.Jerky4College.com/enroll.html and click on the button to hear the message from Christina (that's me).

There are lots of service providers on the World Wide Web. Just keep in mind the features you are looking for and how you want to use the service. Hopefully you'll find the perfect fit for you.
