Orange Nut Bread
3 c. flour
3/4 c. orange juice
4 tsp. baking powder
1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. shortening
2 beaten eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
2-3 tbsp. chopped orange rind
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. milk
cream cheese
Mix together in a large bowl; flour, salt, baking powder and sugar. Cut in shortening and add the rest of the ingredients and mix well. Pour into 2 small greased loaf pans. Cover and let stand for 15 minutes. Bake for 45 minutes in a 350 degree oven until done. Cool, slice thin and serve with cream cheese spread onto slices.
