Apple Walnut Cake

1/4 c. butter, melted
3/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp.cinnamon
4 c. pared apples, sliced
1/2 c. walnuts
1 pkg. white or yellow cake mix

In a saucepan combine melted butter with brown sugar and cinnamon. Spread evenly over bottom of your cake pan. Arrange apple slices on brown sugar mixture, sprinkle nuts on top. Prepare cake as directed on the cake mix box. Pour cake batter on top of previous mixture. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 30-35 minutes.
