Easy Strawberry Shortcake Recipe
6 c. fresh strawberries, washed and sliced
1/4 c. sugar
1 pkg. Sara Lee (tm) pound cake, cut into slices
1 tub (8 ounce) Cool Whip (tm) Whipped Topping, thawed
Toss strawberries with sugar, let stand for 10 minutes or until sugar has dissolved. Meanwhile, cut each slice of cake in half horizontally. Place 1 cake piece on each dessert plate (makes 12 servings so 12 dessert plates). Spoon about 1/4 cup of the strawberries over each cake piece; top with 2 Tbsp. of the Cool Whip (tm), Repeat the layers.
