Easy Clam Chowder

Easy Clam Chowder

2 cans clams, chopped
1/2 c. boiling water
6 potatoes, pared & diced
4 sm. onions, sliced
2 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 qt. milk
1/2 tsp. pepper

Put clams in saucepan and add water. Cover and let cook about 20 minutes. Add potatoes and onions and cook for additional 10-15 minutes.

Heat the butter and blend in a mixture of the flour, salt and pepper. Heat until mixture bubbles. Add milk gradually, stirring constantly. Cook 10 minutes longer. Combine both of the mixtures, heat thoroughly and serve.
