Just decided to do the home party thing and need to decide which company to rep. ie: How to determine how many (if any) reps for each company in my area, comparison of sales incentives, product qualilty feedback, etc. Any help/input from those who have done this already would be most appreciated.

I have been a Pure Romance consultant for a few months now and I love it. Here are the basics:

> 3 starter kits to choose from ($250, 500, and 1000) which includes all demo products and some stuff to sell depending on the size of package
> start out at a 40% discount and move up as you recruit (they have specials for July where you can get $25, 50, and almost 100 off the purchase price and also 30-60 days at a 50% buying discount)
> you do carry inventory but I like to, its awesome and you sell more when you can give them what they want that night and they don't have to wait 2 weeks for their order to come in the mail
> the company has a wonderful support system in place to help any new consultant succeed
> we are very sophiscticated in comparison to some other romance enhancement party plans out there. Our packaging is nicer and our products are actually less expensive for the exact same brands. (main competitors for me in WA is Passion Parties, and Blush)

Our kits start at $150 , $250 , $500 and $1000 , you make 50% from day 1 , you don't have to carry inventory ,I used to do that and most of the time my profits went into more inventory , our shipping time from party to Hostess is only 6 DAYS , all pre-packaged , sealed and labeled to maintain our confindentiality promise.
We do not however have our own line , we do have OVER 600 items !!
Once you start at 50% then recruit (optional) it only gets better!
Spice has been around for two years and the benefits of being in a company in it's toddler stages are phenomenal! We're not going anywhere , our sales quadrupled in the first 8 months of business! Also with not carrying inventory ,I sell a lot , my average show is about $530 , all I pay for is a $5 or $7 co-pay if the Hostess chooses a Hostess special that is rewarded at $300 and $500 show parties , Our Hostess program is second to NONE ,we offer the usual 10% up to $499 , 15% up to $999 and 20% over $1000 plus a three day two night stay at many locations in the US and Mexico. then the Hostess specials mentioned above plus with 10 orders 1- 70% off item , 15 orders 2 -70% items , I give a nice Hostess gift made available to me at a ridiculously low cost , or I can choose to give something else , I deal directly with the CEO/owner of Spice IT Up.
Our prices are very competitive as well , you have no quotas , you work wehn you want , ideas and feedback are welcomed , you get leads from home office , so many pluses , there are a LOT of companies to choose from , I hope you can find one you like , oh ,we also do co-ed and couples parties as well but that is optional too!

I really think you should go through each company at their website , get contact info , compare all the pros and cons of each company and weigh them , which one works for you? Are you in it for the fun? The money? The recognition? The travel and meeting new people? Doing something for yourself that in turn makes others happy too?

I've done a LOT of research in the past month, and so far, I like Passion Parties the best. The commissions are a little less than some (like FYP, Spice it Up) but it looks like they have a great support system and a lot of training.

There's also a company called Athena's, which I REALLY liked, based on their products and ethics, but the pay structure was not as strong.

I haven't signed up for anything yet. There's a lot ot look at and consider.

It's interesting to hear all of your opinions!

I'm a Passion Parties consultant and researched a lot of romance companies myself. Another thing that pulled me to Passion Parties was the fact that Passion Parties' products are exclusively labled. I think there's a difference in selling actual Passion Parties products and selling items that look like (packaging-wise) they can be bought in an adult store. Passion Parties takes great care in choosing the items we present because we cater to discerning, classy women. Take a look at my website and you can see what I mean. We don't have anything with the words cock or coochy on it. To me, that isn't classy.

Our company also sends a monthly magazine (it's like Christmas come the first of every month!) and we get new products and catalogs at certain times throughout the year.
