Hi Ladies,

I'm new sort of to Direct Sales. I did sell for Partylite a few years ago but only lasted about 6 months as I had a hard time with keeping up with the bookings. It was really my fault as I was not working hard at it at the time. I recently signed on with a new company so A. It's not saturated B. Brand new concept C. Ground Floor opportunity..... so what is my complaint you ask? Well I just get frusturated with people's comments. First of all our products are truly top of the line. A lot of what we sell you would find in a luxury or first class hotel but at competitive prices with retail stores. Anyhow a woman at my gym I guess said behind my back that why would anyone want to do that? Meaning selling...doing home parties..... she said if I wanted to get some sheets I'd just get them at Target...

Ok well at first I let it get me down but then I thought to each their own. Personally I wouldn't buy sheets at Target because I feel that since I sleep at least 6-8 hours a night and about 1/3 of my life I figure that's a room where I want to spend money on for good quality products that are going to last a long time. I'd rather spend $30 - $100 more on fine quality high thread count sheets that are going to be touching my skin all night then get some scratchy pilly sheets you'd find at Target or Walmart or whatever.... get my drift? This is my opinion of course..... Just needed to vent since this is the vent board. I know that we all have our markets and customers for our products but I wish people would just keep their nasty comments to themselves.

I lord do know what you are talking about!!! My company is not at all known in my area either I am the only rep! I love it!
Afew people have said things like"well I love baskets but I don't want to spend that money when I can get the same thing elsewhere"
First of all my baskets are sturdy enough that you can actually shove all the crap in it you need to and it will not break!!!
Second mine are bigger!
I guess you have to wait it out until poeple really know your product.
The ones who have ordered from me love the products and order more!

Hi Rachel! We all run into these people. I don't mind them so much "out there" but when they show up at one of my tastings, that's another story. I just usually ignore comments like that but sometimes, if I have the time, I'll actually try to engage the person in conversation to find out where she's coming from. It's amazing how these folks can sometimes turn out to be terrific hosts and consultants!

Just wanted to let you know that we can all share your frustration!

My motherinlaw had did that to me, tried to get my spirits down. By telling me instead of working parttime at my reg, and PL. I need a fultime job. Said she is not interested in it. Tried to bring me down. But I am not letting her. I have alot of support from people. My hubby, and other family members and friends. So don't let people bring you down. Keep your spirits high.

I truly believe in that old say that "You get what you pay for" in regards to quality.

Personally, I am willing to spend more to get a higher quality because its usually better made and will last longer...so in the long run it saves you money!!!

I received a set of sheets for a anniversary gift about 5 years ago...grant you..they were pretty but oh so cheaply made. After 3 washings they were pilly and that felt horrible on the skin...needless to say I trashed them. I am funny about what goes on my bed!

I get people saying tupperware is too expensive...more power to them if they want junk dollar store plastic that doesnt last and fills up our earthy landfills. I would rather spend $15.00 on a set of Tupperware mixing bowls that have a lifetime warranty then $10 on set from Kmart.

I rarely shop at Kmart, Walmart, Target etc and I mean RARE!

I primarily shop from other wahms...I firmly believe in practicing what I preach...so when I shop its usually from wahms unless its something I need today or I cant find from them.
