Okay, I am not going to say the name of the companies but I was with a company that I loved and was doing okay. Later last year we found out that it was folding and that another company was taking over. Well this interrupted everything. So much to the fact that I was trying to figure out how to get at least one order much less anything else. Well, I try to logon yesterday and found out that I am not able to logon due to none activity. It took them two months to get the orders straight and I am being punished??? I am now looking into PG. But I am not sure. If but hopefully some of yall will email me ga_peach207@yahoo.com

I'm so sorry you had trouble! Unfortunately there just isnt the customer service there should be with most companies! If you're interested in info with HOme & Garden Party, certainly let me know. Just make sure whichever company you choose is worthy of YOU! Make sure you're happy with the decision, make sure you feel secure about the products, service and overall company!

Good luck, I believe this happened because you are going to find something better!

Sorry your having trouble. I think I know the company. Heard some others having trouble too.
If you ever want to look into Arbonne let me know. I have loved the company and products for 16 yrs. I have only been a rep for just over a year but I have been with other companies and I am doing tons better here.

Sorry to hear about that happening - hopefully you will find something that is Just right for you - something that you will use and be passionate about when talking with your customers - something that will make you happy to be a Rep

I'm sorry to hear your experience with this company went bad. Like the previous post, I believe to things happen for a reason and maybe this was a way for you to find something you'll excel in. The DSA site has many companies to investigate and learn more about.

Evaluating a company

Here's a few tips for you to check out a company:
Does the company have a good range of quality products?
Are they life-changing?
Do the fulfill a need?
Are the supported by research?
Can you honestly endorse them?
How long has the company been in business?
How many distributers does it have?
How much support does the company have for it's distributors?
Are there any exaggerated claims?
What kind of compensation plan does it offer? (The old break-away system is best.)

Good list by Liz in what to look for in a company but you left out one very important one and with me it is the FIRST thing I research.
We were just discussing this on another forum.

Ethical ownership.

Who owns/runs the company.

What is their past history?

Do they have a shady record?

Nothing matters if there is no ethical ownership/management.

Not the products,not the pay plan,nothing because greedy compensation plan changes can be made and changes to top selling products(adding cheap ingredients)

I have seen it many times.

So, the first thing I look for above all is WHO IS RUNNING THE SHOW?

What is their track record?

How many times have they changed the pay plan?

Is it evident that they CARE about the reps?

Trust is everything to me.
If I even "suspect" ownership may not be on the up and up and they do not care about the success of the reps but just their own pockets I run the other way!

Liz I also agree about having "Life Changing Products" whether it be health and nutrition,skin care, etc,,,.

Nothing is more POWERFUL than products that get such RESULTS they change your life! :)

I agree with Liz. Look at the full plan and what they offer. They may have for example 50% profit but the items are generic. You need to look at all aspects of the company. Good Luck! :D

It is scary these days with all of the changes in DS businesses.

Make sure you check out every company really well!

This is my umpteenth company. That ONE point--life changing products--what was always missing in the previous companies I was with. Oh, the products were good, some were priced better than others but then again, there was nothing that stood out. When I stumbled across the company I'm with (on this site, too) I was mesmerized. Having battled fibromyalgia for 10 years myself, this is it for me.

I really do believe that if you don't have something life changing, you won't have the enthusiasm necessary to do the business. In all the MLM books I've read, they all say that enthusiasm is what drives your business. In the few days I've been with this company, I must say I'm getting much better reception than I've ever had before. I've already got an order! Now that I found the missing piece to the puzzle, I have this strong feeling that this time, it will really work for me. I'm very excited!!

I agree with every word!

Enthusiasm and desire and a 100% TOTAL BELIEF IN YOUR PRODUCTS will set your business on fire!

I am a PRODUCT person big time and I MUST believe in the products that I am selling,I must have wonderful results with them myself.
