If you are in Direct Sales, you have probably noticed how popular themed home parties have become.

These days party hosts are looking for something different. We have all been to those parties where a consultant just stands up there and shows you her business products, but these days, those type of parties are less appealing.

Party Hosts now want an interactive and fun themed party. I have compiled a list of some very popular home themed parties for you to consider the next time you are demonstrating a party for your party host.

1. New Year, New You Party: (great for home organization ideas, weightloss and healthy eating, pampering and spa type of parties)

2. Home Organization Party: These days, everyone is looking to downsize and to get better organized. If you are with a company that offers products that a customer can use to get better organized, then consider using this theme.

3. Beat The Winter Blues Party: During the winters months, people get the winter blues from being stuck indoors. If you have a fun and exciting party concept, try labeling it the "Beat The Winter Blues" party. You can have all of your guests dress in blue or have them do the opposite and dress in sunny cheerful colors.

4. Sweet Treats for Lovers on Valentines Day: If you are with a company that sells chocolate, dessert mixes, fondue dips, etc. This would be a fun theme to incorporate into your party line up during the months of January and February.

5. Couples Cooking Party: A lot of couples enjoy cooking, baking and grilling together. If you are with one of the Kitchen or Gourmet Food company's this is a fun theme for just couples.

6. Men Only Cooking Party: I have found that a lot of men enjoy being in the kitchen. If you can find a male party host, this would be a great theme party so that they can invite all of their *male* friends to the party.

7. St Patricks Day Party, Luck of the Irish: During the Month of March, this would be a fun theme! You could serve green appetizers, green beverages and have the party guests and host all dress in green.

8. Girls Night In! Party in your PJ'S Slumber Party! This theme idea will work for most of the direct sales home party plan businesses. Girls always are looking for a reason to get together. You could ask your host to let her guests know that they are to all wear their pajama's to the party.

9. Home Daycare Owners Party: Millions of women run daycares out of their home and they make excellent home party hosts. They know plenty of parents to invite to their party plus they can invite other local daycare providers. This is a great theme if you sell children's products as daycare providers are always looking for new things for their daycares so why not let them earn some free products by hosting a themed party.

10. Easter Party: This is a fun themed party to offer to your party hosts a few weeks before the Easter Holiday arrives. Parents can bring along their children to the party where a table can be set up to let the children paint eggs or do an Easter Craft while the parents attend the party hosts party. In this case, its always helpful to have a volunteer help the children while you do the party.

11. Children Only, Gift Shopping Party: This is better done with Cash and Carry Products. Invite the children over to your home to shop for a Gift for Mom and Grandma. You can get cheap wrapping paper and some crafting supplies at the dollar store and have them make a Greeting Card too!

12. Spring Cleaning and Home Organization Party: It has been a long standing tradition in this country for women to do Spring Cleaning every year during the start of the Spring Season. If you sell products that can help with that, try using this party theme at your next Spring Party.

13. Treat your mom party! For this party, You have the party guests bring their mothers with them to the party. Have your party host serve appetizers and beverages, a mother and daughter brunch or a mother and daughter tea party.

14. Hawiian Tropical Themed Party: You can purchase some inexpensive lei's at your local dollar store along with some party favors or table decorations to fit this theme. This is a fun themed party to do during the Summer Months.

15. Mothers Day Tea and Dessert Party: This is a fun theme to do the end of April and the beginning of May to honor all of those special mothers in our lives.

16. July 4th Summer Cookout Block Party: If you live in a neighborhood, I always recommend doing a once a year Summer Cookout Block Party and invite all your neighbors and friends. Let them know on the invitation that this is a combination party for company XYZ and that afterwards you will all be having a summer barbecue.

17. Mystery Hostess Open House Party: I always recommend that new home party consultants start out by hostessing their very own part by using this party theme. Every guest who attends your open house party and makes a purchase will be enterted into a special drawing where they will be named the host (if they are the winner) and will earn all of the free hostess goodies and gifts.

18. Themed Bridal shower Party: If your party host knows of someone who is getting married soon or if she herself will be getting married soon, consider turning the party into a Themed Bridal Shower. This works well if you are with a home decor company or a kitchen company.

19.. Themed Baby Shower Party: If you know someone who is expecting a baby and you sell baby and children's products, this would be a really nice theme to incorporate into your party theme line-up.

20. Partying For Charity: Have a party to raise money for charitable orgs. or donate the free items that the charitable hostess would earn to a womens shelter, low income family, etc.

21.. Open House Weekend Cash and Carry Party: This is a great theme if you have a lot of product on hand, especially discontinued merchandise. I like to do these type of parties twice a year to just clean out my overstock. I always discount the products and make it a cash and carry party.

22. Best Friends Evening Out Party (works best with bath and body products, candle types of parties, or skincare and cosmetics type of parties.)

23. Quick and Easy Meals Taste Great Party: This theme works well for those who sell gourmet food products or if you are with a kitchen and food party plan company. These days we all lead very busy lives and want to spend less time in the kitchen. Build a party theme around this idea.

24. Work Place Lunch Office Parties: (can also hold them at the workplace after work too!) Works great especially for the smaller privately owned businesses.

25. Halloween Costume Party: If you are doing any parties during the month of October, turn it into a Halloween Costume Party and have all the party guests wear their favorite costume.

26. Sports Themed Tail gating Party: If your party host doesn't mind asking her guests to each bring a appetizer or dish to the party, try these theme around some of the big sporting events such as the NBA Playoffs, The Stanley Cup and the Super Bowl.

27. Men Only Holiday Shopping Party: Invite the men over to shop for gifts for their wives, girlfriends, mothers, sisters etc.

28. Holiday Baking with Children Party: If you are with a gourmet food company or one of the kitchen companies, this is a great party theme around the holidays. Have parents bring their children along to the party for some baking fun.

29. Holiday Cookie Exchange Party: Have all the party guests bring a dozen of their freshly made holiday cookies to the party with them. Have each guest take home a few of the cookies that others brought to the party.

30. Secret Santa Party: (have the guests make a list of 3 items below $25 each) then have each guest draw a slip of paper and they have to buy one of those items on that list for the Secret Santa pal without letting them know its for her. Then you have the second half of the party in a few weeks when the orders come in and invite guests back to exchange their gifts and for them to try to guess who it was that was their secret Santa!)

31. Secret Santa Office Gift Party: A lot of workplace offices these days do secret santa parties and exchanges. I make up a list ahead of time of all items that we sell that are $12 and less! I attach the list to the front of the catalog and only demo those items. Guests are always looking for affordable gifts for their secret santa office parties and you can help them find them!)

32. Back to School Party: If you sell items that back to school kids and moms can use this is a great theme party to try doing.

33. Christmas in July Party: Have you noticed that retail stores will often run Christmas in July promotions during the month of July? Well you can incorporate that same idea into a themed home party!

34. Beat the Tax Season Blues Party: This is a great party to do during the April Month.

35. Movie and a Meal Party: Have your party host provide the movie (make sure it will not be an offensive movie). Have the party demonstration before the movie then let guests mingle, eat and watch the movie together while you finish up your party.

36. Ditch the Casual Wear and Bring out the Party Wear: If you are doing an all girls themed party, try having them all dress up in their favorite dresses and gowns! What girl doesn't love a reason to get dressed up?

37. The Good Old Days Party:! Have guests dress up in 1960s and 1970s party wear. Put the *groove* back into partying! Dig out those bell bottom jeans and pointy collared shirts! Bring back Flower Power!

45. Make Great Treats and Sweets for Bake Sales Party: Busy Moms are always looking for a way to make great treats for all those bake sales! You demo some recipes, kitchen gadgets, ways to transport those treats to the bake sale etc! Works really well with Parents of Elementary School Aged Children. You can contact the schools PTA and see if they would be interested in having you come to the school and doing this with the moms after one of their PTA meetings.

46. Moms on the go GYM Party: Contact your Local Fitness Gyms and see if you can come and do a party there for busy moms.

47. Beat the Clock Party: (these are fun to do on the days that we have time changes here in the USA) but you can do them any time. You can set it up that if guests order within 30 minutes of the party starting they get a 15% discount, at 45 minutes it drops down to 10% and so forth!

56. Multi-Consultant Neighborhood Party: Find other consultants who represent Non-Competing Types of products in your community. Get together and you all one big party.
